Reclaiming the Psalms in Worship

This workshop will open up the hidden treasures of the Psalms, looking at their many different forms, their emotional range and the various ways they can be articulated. We will incorporate material and music from throughout the world in our exploration.
Dr.
John L. Bell is an ordained minister of the Church of Scotland and a
member of the Iona Community. After a period in the Netherlands and two
posts in church youth work, he became employed full-time in the areas of
music and worship with the Wild Goose Resource Group. Bell is an
occasional broadcaster, lectures in theological colleges in Britain and
the U.S., but is primarily concerned with the renewal of congregational
worship at the grass roots level. He has produced many collections of
original songs and resources for worship, as well as collections of songs
from the World Church. These are published by the Iona Community in
Scotland and GIA Publications in North America.
