Are the members of your church comfortable sharing their faith with one another? Would they be willing to stand up in worship and talk about God? If not, why not? And if so, Aship and talk about God? If not, why not? And if so, A what conditions need to exist to cultivate the ancient Christian practice of testimony, a practice that many mainline churches have forgotten about?

This workshop will explore the practice of testimony and its continuing relevance to congregational life. The workshop will place testimony in the larger theoretical context of history and faith practices, as it relates to church vitality. We will also examine practical strategies as well as challenges to implementing testimony, using real life stories from churches of different sizes and contexts.
