A Sampling of Innovative Worship Experiences
from Chicago Area Congregations

Saturday, April 25, 2009
2:00 – 5:00 pm
First United Methodist Church, Park Ridge

Observe and participate in a unique demonstration of a diversity of rituals, practices and experiences that enliven and deepen congregational worship. Encounter ways that drama, music, proclamation, art, and movement are being creatively utilized by leaders and congregations that are pushing the boundaries of inspiring worship that transforms lives. More than a dozen outstanding worship leaders and teams from the Chicago area will present and model imaginative elements from their congregational worship. Workshop presenters will reflect a diversity of worship styles with an emphasis on “emerging worship” that addresses the spiritual needs of younger generations.

This workshop will also feature more extensive use of audio-visual technology to support and enrich worship experiences. Each congregation enrolling participants in this workshop will receive a DVD that includes all of the workshop presentations in order to facilitate the introduction of new worship practices into your church.
