Guest Preacher Mark Schol from Grace Logan Square UMC

Message on Social Holiness

Mark is an East Coast guy, born and bred.  He grew up in Philadelphia, attended college in Boston and spent a few years in D.C., before moving to Logan Square in January 2012 with his wife Meredith. He was a bartender and restaurant manager before attending seminary. In 2014, they welcomed their daughter Elise to the neighborhood.

Mark believes that church is a verb, an organic way to be involved in our neighborhoods and its people, rather than a static building. He invites people to rethink the way they have viewed the church in the past and envision what the church could look like, inclusive of all people.
