Rev. Hannah Kardon - Site Pastor
Pastor Hannah (she/her) has previously served Urban Village Church, Elston Avenue United Methodist Church, and non-profit Interfaith America and helped support vibrant church experiences like free spring break camps for kids, cultural dance groups, health fairs, Drag Worship, and Tattoo Testimonies. She is a certified Spiritual Director trained by Still Harbor, and was educated at the University of Chicago and Harvard Divinity School. She is co-author of Finding Peace in an Anxious World and author of Mapping our Future and Healing & Joy on Your Journey to God, program books for United Women in Faith. She lives around the corner from UCRP with her husband Matt and their two children. hannah@northsideco-op.org
Chaplain Red Holdridge - Community Care Chaplain
Red Holdridge (they/them) is a hospice chaplain on the northside of Chicago with JourneyCare Hospice and serves as the Community Care Chaplain for UCRP. They earned their Master of Divinity from Garrett Seminary in 2021 and have since made a home in Chicago’s Albany Park with their spouse and their dog, Dottie. Originally from Western New York, Red has lived in Chicago for seven years and is passionate about baking, hosting, and spending time outdoors. They also run Camp, a queer-centric group that explores the intersection of queerness and spirituality. After many years in high-control religion, Red is proud to call the United Methodist Church and UCRP home. red@northsideco-op.org
Jeremy Ramey - Music Director
(Music Director, Pianist and Music Design) is an award-winning concert pianist, conductor and music director based in Chicago. Most recently, Jeremy music directed PENELOPIAD at the Goodman Theatre. In January 2023, Jeremy received his fourteenth and fifteenth Jeff nominations for music direction for his work on 8 Track the Musical and Godspell. Jeremy has won six Jeff awards total - most recently for Bridges of Madison County in 2019. He received previous Jeff awards for The Light In The Piazza, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Rent, The Most Happy Fella and Sweeney Todd. In 2016, he won his second Broadway World Award for Music Direction for his work on Bette, Live at The Continental Baths. Some of his favorite productions include the world premiere of ADDING MACHINE at Next Theater, HATS starring Melissa Manchester at the Royal George, and WARPAINT at the Goodman Theatre starring Patti Lupone and Christine Ebersole. He received his training in piano performance and music at Rhodes College, Northwestern University and The Juilliard School of Music.
Jeremy has served as pianist and music director for churches since he was 13 years old including Decaturville First United Methodist Church in Decaturville, TN, Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis, TN, Broadway United Methodist Church in Chicago, Unity Church on the Northshore in Evanston, and, for over ten years, United Church of Rogers Park. jeremymramey@gmail.com
